TV Bingo - Bingo on the telly

TV Bingo on televisionTV Bingo is not something that past generations have been able to enjoy, but modern technology now makes it possible for enthusiastic players to participate in games broadcast on television.

There are three TV bingo games that UK Bingo readers are currently most likely to be interested in, and these are BingoLotto, Gala TV and Big Box Bingo.

BingoLotto is a game that is played every Friday at 7pm, and is broadcast on Virgin 1 and Challenge TV channels at 7pm. To take part, all you need to do is buy a BingoLotto card costing £2 from one of 11,000 retailers authorised to sell them around the country. Each card has a serial number and three game cards, and you can win prizes either by matching the serial number or by winning one of the three games.

Gala TV can be played by anyone who has Sky Digital. Just tune into channel 841 and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account and start playing. If you are already a Gala Club member then you can skip the initial registration screen and enter your membership number and date of birth. Once you’re set up, you can then play Gala TV bingo whenever you like. Live presenters bring you the action between 6pm and 2am, with an automated service taking over outside those hours. Tickets cost from just 5p each.

Big Box Bingo can be found on Sky channel 847 every Tuesday, and the action starts at 6:30pm. The aim of this show is to recreate “all the fun of the bingo hall” and bring it to you live and direct. There are six 90 ball bingo games played and cards cost £1.50 each, so you can participate in all of the games for £9. Hosted by Greg Scott, each game gives you a chance to win a jackpot of £100,000 by getting a full house in 35 balls or less. Other prizes are available for a single line and a full house in more than 35 balls, and details of these are given during the broadcast.

There is undoubtedly a lot more bingo on TV to come, but even now there is plenty of fun and entertainment to be had if you know where to look. If the idea of playing bingo via TV appeals, consider taking a look at the games we have just outlined.
