National Bingo Game
National Bingo Game is the name given to a bingo game that is placed across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. Some five hundred bingo clubs participate, and players in each local club enjoy the same centralised game thanks to a state of the art computer network that makes the physical location of players largely irrelevant. Any player at any National Bingo Game participating club has exactly the same chance of winning, and the only way a player can improve their odds is to play more tickets.
The National Bingo Game was introduced to the UK in 1986, and has since gone on to become one of the most successful games in the country. This is largely because of the big prizes that can be offered. During the daytime, a game called Afternoon Delight offers a daily top prize of £20,000 which increases to £50,000 on Saturdays. In the main evening sessions, which are prime time for bingo players, the top prize is £50,000 per night, and this increases to £100,000 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. One might assume that games with such huge prizes might be expensive to play, but this is not the case at all – a strip of six tickets can be purchased for as little as £1.
In 2007, the National Bingo Game Association launched a special game that players can participate in over and above the main game. This was called The Big’N and it is basically a progressive jackpot that is paid in whole or in part to a player who matches eight, seven or six Big’N numbers on their winning National Bingo Game ticket. Because the jackpot fund grows until someone eventually wins it, colossal sums are often available to be won. In fact, The Big’N now makes it possible for UK National Bingo Game players to become millionaires if their numbers come up at the right time. To participate, players must pay an extra £1 when they buy their National Bingo Game tickets and have those tickets validate for entry to The Big’N.
