Bingo and the Community
A new survey commissioned by the Bingo Association shows that traditional forms of social interaction in the community are not as popular as they used to be. 1,000 people from all over the UK were sampled for the survey, and although the majority said that community meeting places such as churches, pubs, clubs and libraries helped individuals to foster a sense of belonging, most participants admitted that they would prefer to stay at home and watch TV rather than socialise in a more traditional way.

Foxy Gets a Grant
Foxy Bingo has launched a brand new game featuring popular astrologer Russell Grant. The game is called "Russell's Lucky Stars!" and is essentially the same as keno, which itself can be described as a bingo / lottery hybrid.
To play Russell's Lucky Stars, you need to select anything from 1 to 12 numbers from the range 1 to 80. You then click the PLAY button and the game will randomly select 20 balls from 80. The more numbers that you match, the more you win.

The Big N
The National Bingo Game Association is launching a major advertising campaign to promote its brand new "Big N" bingo game that can be played from 15 September, 2007. This campaign will be one of the first to take advantage of the relaxed Gambling Act 2005 regulations (which came into force on 1 September 2007) that allow gambling operators to advertise on television. It is expected that commercials for the Big N game will be broadcast on ITV1, Channel 4, Five and on a selected range of digital television channels. Advertisements will also appear in magazines and newspapers, as well as online.
