Bingo Caller Sacked

Gala BingoIn an event quite unheard of in land based bingo, Gala Bingo was yesterday investigating its first case of alleged number fixing. The Gala Bingo scandal is based around the Pallion Club in Sunderland and the scam is suspected to be around £10,000. The scandal has seen a Bingo caller sacked in what can only be described as one of the most embarrassing incidents a bingo club could have.

Bosses at the Sunderland Club first became suspicious when a woman staff member, who is thought to be the disgraced caller’s girlfriend called house to claim a top prize. The investigation seems to have uncovered a plot to fix the game by controlling which numbers are called, something that should be randomly generated.

Gala Bingo have reported the allegations to the Gaming Commission but as yet not the police until the outcome of its internal inquiry are released.

The lady called house winning a substantial amount of money, it is believed that a secret code was used to make a certain set of numbers come out instead of the ones that should have been randomly generated.

Gala Bingo are quick to state that nothing like this has ever happened before and they are treating the matter with the greatest seriousness, they also confirmed that the money has gone back onto the prize board.

It seems totally implausible that it is even possible to rig numbers that should of course be randomly generated and although this does seem to be an isolated incident – and certainly never heard of before – it’s no wonder that the online, computerised game is becoming more and more popular.
