Need Bingo Luck? Try Glasgow!

Scotland is lucky for BingoGlasgow has been named as the luckiest place to play offline bingo in the UK, with one club – the Mecca Forge – managing to have no less than fourteen National Bingo Game winners in the past year. This gave the city total winnings of £618,065.

Scotland has been the luckiest place to play bingo for three years now, with Dundee and Stirling being named in 2006 and 2005 respectively. A consolation for players in England is that the Beacon Bingo Club in Cricklewood came second to Glasgow, with total winnings amounting to £666,144 from ten National Bingo Game wins.

These figures were published by the National Bingo Game Association (NBGA), which tallies up the number of NBG wins in each region in the UK to compile an annual Top Ten. Steve Baldwin of the NBGA said, “We have had 872 big winners over the past 12 months, and they pocketed over £41 million between them. Bingo has a huge following in Scotland so we’re delighted to see that they have won the title for the third year in a row.”

The biggest individual cash prize of the past year went to a player at the Gala Bingo Club in Lakeside, Essex. The win was worth £453,081.

“What’s great about The National Bingo Game is its wide appeal to anyone and everyone over the age of 18, with a guaranteed winner every time,” Steve Baldwin said. “This year the National Bingo Game celebrates its 21st birthday and in that time, we’ve had thousands of lucky winners from all over the country who have won millions of pounds.”
