Wow, tonight's Eastenders is billed to be an explosive episode and finally shed light on how Barbara Windsor is to leave her role as head matriarch of the Queen Victoria pub, Walford. That’s not the last we’re to see of her though as it’s now Carry on Bingo, Barbara Windsor and her world-famous giggle in a new advertising campaign for Jackpot Joy Bingo. Barbara Windsor signs as the new face of this UK Bingo site from today, tomorrow the new bingo ad will launch featuring none other than the lady herself.
Just to add to the irony, tune into ITV1 tomorrow night at 8.45pm during the ad break for Coronation Street and you will be able to watch the first viewing of the first new advert from Jackpot Joy Bingo. In total ten adverts will be shown, between now and February next year in one of the longest campaigns ever seen in UK Bingo. Each ad will feature the bubbly barmaid herself and the two new characters to Jackpot Joy Bingo, Jack and Joy.
It sounds like Carry on Bingo as Barbara Windsor’s giggle is promised to be staying, Jack’s catchphrase will be ‘Oi, oi, oi, Jackpot Joy!’, which will surely have us all waiting for Sid James to pop up and say ‘Oh, you are naughty’. This deal is a real coup for Jackpot Joy as Barbara Windsor is one of the most high profile characters ever to be the face of any UK Bingo site.
