"I am still in shock, my legs are still shaking, I can’t believe I won,” she said. “I am going to spoil my 6 grandchildren as they help me so much as my husband is poorly. It is my granddaughter's 21st birthday next week and she passed her driving test last week so I think I will be treating her to a car. I can't go away anywhere far on holiday due to my husband's illness but we do have a caravan we go to which I can now pay the ground rent for the next 10 years!”

Just a few days later, on Wednesday 7 May, a player called angelway won a Giant jackpot worth £23,476.34. The win cane just four weeks after angelway, who is grandmother to thirteen children, had to go through the ordeal of having her husband pass away.

"I am so happy to win the jackpot,” she said afterwards. “My husband passed away four weeks ago after a long illness - I miss him so much he was my life. He is still looking out for me. The money is a great tonic for me, a holiday will be great, but not yet perhaps later in the year. The children were very happy for me - they have been a rock.
