Drive-in Bingo

Across the country bingo halls are closing their doors as the online bingo game becomes more and more popular, but someone has come up with a novel idea to get players out playing bingo. In County Meath, one bingo organiser has devised drive-in bingo, like a drive in movie but for bingo. It’s certainly a novel idea but whether it will take over the online game is doubtful but it is a way that land bingo players can play bingo, and smoke.

It’s unlikely that UK Bingo halls are going to be turning into drive-in bingo halls, it’s a niche market, although interesting all the same, especially as bingo halls are trying so hard to survive right now.

So you get in your car, drive-in to the drive-in bingo hall and buy your bingo tickets, if you get a winner, you honk your horn and someone comes over to check your ticket. It sounds like something that could be great fun to do with friends and it’s easy to see why it’s popular in the small town in County Meath.

The event organiser says it’s been a popular venture, people like the fact that they can smoke, and come along with friends for a night out with a difference. The chance to win some cash is also a great incentive with prizes running into the thousands for some bingo games.
