Foxy Gets a Grant
Foxy Bingo has launched a brand new game featuring popular astrologer Russell Grant. The game is called "Russell's Lucky Stars!" and is essentially the same as keno, which itself can be described as a bingo / lottery hybrid.
To play Russell's Lucky Stars, you need to select anything from 1 to 12 numbers from the range 1 to 80. You then click the PLAY button and the game will randomly select 20 balls from 80. The more numbers that you match, the more you win.
The jackpot, which is worth £50,000, can be won by playing the maximum of 12 numbers and matching all of them. However, even if you match less than the maximum you will win a consolation prize of some sort, so this is by no means an "all or nothing" game.
Russell Grant, who is 56, has been one of the most popular astrologers in the UK for decades, and famously provided a consultation to the Queen Mother in 1978. Numerous television and radio appearances followed, and today Russell Grant's name is synonymous with horoscopes for much of the British public.
Foxy Bingo is undoubtedly hoping that Russell's Lucky Stars will prove just as popular as Russell himself, and to give players an even more complete astrological experience, Foxy Radio will broadcast interviews with him. Players will also be able to read a monthly column by Russell on the Foxy Bingo web site.
Celebrities are playing an increasing role in raising the profile of online bingo sites. Foxy Bingo has already worked with celebrity Katie Price (also known as Jordan) and is hoping that she will play a role in a new television advertising campaign that is being planned for next year. The relaxation of television advertising guidelines (thanks to the introduction of the Gambling Act 2005 on September 1, 2007) looks sure to pave the way for many more online bingo sites to start producing commercials for broadcast, and Foxy Bingo is naturally keen to be among those leading the way.
