Gala Bingo game on Everest
A group of dedicated bingo fans are in training right now to prepare for a Gala Bingo game on Everest. The game will be played by 24 Gala employees at 17,500 feet above sea level in an attempt to smash the record for the World’s highest game of bingo. You can’t get much more dedicated than that as trekkers face dehydration, altitude sickness and much more as they take part in this bingo pilgrimage.
The players will be made up of Gala Bingo employees from all over the UK and is part of a fundraising effort for Sue Ryder Care – Gala Bingo's nominated charity for the year. It is hoped that they will be able to raise £100,000 for the charity with this single event to add to the £750,000 already raised by the bingo site.
The UK Bingo players have been engaging in training sessions to prepare them for the climb up the world’s highest mountain where we’re sure they will be glad to finally sit down to their bingo game.
The climb is bound to affect their mental agility, as high altitudes affect the brain, but don’t worry as this keen bingo playing team have been getting in some double quick games at their local Gala Bingo clubs. They’ve been trialling the new and improved Gala Bingo High 5 jackpot which promises a fast and furious bingo experience like never before.
The Everest Trek is just one of the many charity events run at Gala Bingo this year for the Sue Ryder Care charity in their hope to raise £1 million for the charity before the end of the year.
