More Shockwaves for USA Bingo
It was looking like the ban on USA gambling might be lifted, or at least relaxed slightly as the presidential battle roars on, however there’s been more shockwaves for USA bingo today as 141 gambling domains have been seized by a US court.
Many online gambling and internet bingo sites have been affected by the seizure, even industry giants Microgaming haven’t been able to escape with some of their domains coming under the injunction.
This comes about after civil action declaring that many of these online sites promote online gambling which is illegal in the USA since the passing of a bill outlawing any kind of internet bingo or online gambling was passed last year.
With the USA making moves to change the current laws on internet bingo and online gambling this action has clearly sent shockwaves through the USA Bingo industry and has people within the industry wondering just what will happen next.
The court has said, even with UIGEA moving closer to reintroducing internet bingo to the USA that the nine internet bingo sites of the 141 gambling sites seized in total were considered to be highly dangerous. How an internet bingo site can be highly dangerous has me baffled and the phrase ‘only in America’ springs to mind.
Thankfully we still have almost 2,000 UK bingo sites to choose from and our government- no matter how barmy- are still allowing us our favourite past-time. If you hear that internet bingo is going out of fashion please do drop us a line and be thankful for now that we live in Great Britain and can still enjoy our internet bingo as we see fit.
