Two fat ladies banned from the bingo hall

misc BingoA town council is defending its decision to a change in traditional bingo calls, the change will see Two fat ladies banned from the bingo hall, along with legs eleven for fear of being sued by customers. The UK Bingo games, played in the town hall in Sudbury, Suffolk are changing their calls, despite no players ever complaining.

The bingo games are run by former Mayor, John Sayers and he says that he has been advised to ban the two fat ladies and legs eleven bingo calls for fear that players may get offended and sue the council.

Players are now complaining that the tradition of the game has been lost and that the new style of calling bingo numbers is boring. However, despite no complaints on the matter the council has been cautious to what may happen in the future.

Ex Mayor Sayers himself agrees that the traditional bingo calls are far more interesting than just calling the numbers alone but there is a fear of people being offended and that’s why the calls have been changed.

Has political correctness gone mad in the world of UK Bingo? Quite possibly and it seems that we as a nation are losing our traditional British sense of humour for fear of offending or being sued. It’s a sad world we live in when traditions such as this cannot be continued and we can only hope that this sort of behaviour isn’t seen right across the country.

Do they use traditional bingo calls at your local bingo club? If so then make the most of them, a big change seems to be sweeping the country.
